One day in Paris to discover its must-see sites

First time in Paris or you don’t have much time here? I created the perfect one-day tour in Paris for you, to see the main Paris attractions and learn about their history… by the end of the day, you will learn why Paris is famously known “the most beautiful city in the world”!

Our tour will start on the oldest bridge of Paris from where we will discover the two islands of the center of Paris: the île de la Cité and the île Saint-Louis and spend time next to Notre-Dame. We will then go to the right bank where we will discover the Marais neighborhood, famous for the Place des Vosges and for being the gay district and Jewish neighborhood, we will stroll over there until our lunch break!

After tasting awesome French food, we will reach the Louvre and walk its wonderful garden, le Jardin des Tuileries, until the Place de la Concorde. So many things happened here when kings were still in power… more than a classic historical tour, this day is made of funny moments and riddles about Paris history.

During this day tour, you will have the opportunity to walk on the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Champs-Élysées… Then, the highlight of the show will come of course with the Iron Lady!

While admiring Paris’ main attractions and we will also have the opportunity to stop at many bakeries and boulangeries for you to taste the best food Paris has to offer, far from the tourist traps because you’ll be there with me!

Visite saint louis et île de la cité : excellente expérience 95 avis sur Tripadvisor et que des notes de 5.0 ? Cela paraissait trop beau pour être vrai. Eh bien c'est vrai ! j'écris un 96ème avis avec une note de 5.0 :-) Sophie est dynamique et sympa, tout ce qu'il faut pour intéresser toute la famille (dont 2 ados de 12 et 15 ans) à l'histoire de l'île Saint Louis et de l'île de la Cité. Great experience Great experience. Customized our tour to what we wanted to see and listened to our input. Found an awesome lunch restaurant for my very picky eating needs. She took us to an elevated park and through old courtyards and other hidden places we would never know to look for.

Fantastic Guide Resulted in Total Fun Working with Sophie resulted in a bespoke tour that couldn't have been better. She not only helped us understand many of the popular places of Montmartre and the Latin Quarter, she took us down side streets to find hidden gems along the way. She was helpful before our trip, giving us tips on things to do near our apartment. And her lunch choice was absolutely fantastic. She quickly understood our family vibe and joined in all the fun. Probably the best tour guide one could ever have!

Delightful tour with Sophie! Our family of 5 (including 2 teens and a 7 year old) thoroughly loved our time with Sophie! It was the perfect balance of experiencing local culture, learning about history and contemporary Paris, and tasting local food and drinks. Sophie was able to keep the teens engaged with our visit to the flea market while our 7 year old was on the lookout for tile art scattered throughout the city - all while throwing in historical events and abundant information about the city. Sophie is charming and so personable, a natural born guide. We really cherished our time with her!

Family food tour Our family of five enjoyed the food walking tour with Sophie. Three boys (18-10 yrs old) stayed engaged and learned so much about Paris cuisine and history. Highly recommend.

We love Sophie! My whole family had an amazing time on two of Sophie’s tours of Paris! My husband, two teen sons and I did her walking tour of Montmartre and her off the beaten path breakfast tour. Sophie made it so easy for us to enjoy ourselves and have fun! She kept us smiling with stories and history about her favorite city and we left each time wanting more. We took other tours while in Paris but they all paled in comparison to her welcoming spirit. Excellent Walking Tour Experience Sophie is an absolute gem! My fiancé and I took the Paris walking tour and experienced the sights, sounds, and tastes of the historic city with Sophie. She is knowledgeable about the history and culture, tailors her tour to your interests as you go, and makes you feel like you have been friends forever! Make sure to ask her about the history of each neighborhood, French culture, and the best places to stop for coffee and snacks. 5 stars!

Amazing food, better guide! Sophie is an amazing person and incredible guide. Her English is perfect. The bakery’s were delicious and authentic. We really enjoyed the added knowledge of the history and architecture of Paris!!

So much fun, informative and a must do! We LOVED our tour with Sophie, she was so knowledgeable, took us on some really fantastic, covered passages and around some of the most historical buildings, giving us the history and cultural explanations along the way. She had fantastic recommendations for the rest of our trip and took us on such a fun tour. We'd recommend her to everyone!!
